Which tee box

There has been a lot of discussion about who can play which tee box during LEAGUE play.
There are no specific rules in golf about this that I am aware of.
The long ago local rule for playing from the gold tees was set at age 65+HC= 83.

A funny thing happened while we were trying to sort this out. Some of us got older.

el tigre has modified the score cards now to allow for a combination of GOLD/RED tees.

I think this is a great idea and some players have been taking advantage of this combination, and good on them for doing this.

The league administrators have discussed this situation and have decided that as the rule of 83 was set for the Gold tees for league play, to play the GOLD/ RED combo you are age 75 and have a handicap no lower than 15.
This rule would apply to league play only!

As always, your comments are welcome.

Skins March 16

Gentlemen

Since we have been using two man teams recently, having a threesome creates a bit of a problem. We have had an open discussion about this , and decided that a random draw from inside the threesome would make up the second team. This would be done before the start of play.
To simplify the selection here is my proposal.
The first team would be the first two names from the computer generated draw down. That is cart partners as before.
The second team would be the cart drivers make up the second team.
I see this as being a consistent way of selecting the second team and might save some confusion with this arrangement.

The drivers will be regarded as a separate team and payout will be handled as such.

I am all for trying to keep things simple. If you have any comments about this suggestion, please forward them to me ASAP.

Unfortunately I have to return to Canada early this year and have asked George Erhart to be the go to guy in my absence. I respect George as being a very common sense guy and and I believe he has the respect of his peers and will do a great job.

if you have ANY concerns regarding the Skins league, please send them to me and I will work with George to deal with them.
Monday will be my last Skins day as I leave on March 19th.

I have appreciated the input that I have received from the Skins roster and some outside options as well.

We have the privilege of securing 48 tee times each week. I will make every effort to make sure that we can keep those times.

You maybe play with the same people each time, but not having to try and find a tee time for two, three or four players on a regular basis can be a time consuming task.
Playing in a league is an easy way to schedule your (busy) time here in paradise. Take advantage of it.

Done preaching. Get out and play.

Play well or have fun. Do both if you can.

Club Championship

In my latest post I listed the incorrect dates for the Club Championship.
The correct dates are FRIDAY MARCH 13 & SATURDAY MARCH 14.
My apologies for any confusion.
Thank you Alan for catching that error.

Well guys

A predicted, the size of the Skins competition will be quite small, so I guess we just go out there and have a good time with your partner.
As before , your cart partner is your two man team partner.
It was decided at the Skins roundup on Friday March 6, if there happens to be an odd number of players, the single will draw a partner before the start of play, from the team he is playing with. That decision will be made at game time.
The game for the day will be on the card. Play your proper tees, fix your ball marks and enjoy the day. There are no gimmies, all balls in the hole.

Have fun or play well, but do both if you can.
Please note: Skins will resume on Monday, March 16, after the Club Championship on Saturday March 13 & Sunday March 14.

Good luck.

Well gents
Overall , the two man teams seemed to work to everyone’s satisfaction, although a discussion was had, and a recommendation was made that we try one net ball.
So, being the accommodating guy that I am, we are going to try it.
This Friday we will play two man teams, one net ball, with no gimmes. All balls must be putted out.
Because the inevitable charges happen, I would ask all players to please show up at least one hour prior to your tee time to be ready to play.
Thank you for your cooperation, your participation, and your valuable input.
Getting involved makes things happen!

Play well or have fun, unless you are lucky enough to do both .
