Mens Mixer Wednesday March 21, 2018

ElTigre Golfers,

Another beautiful Saturday in Nuevo.

The game for Wednesday will be the 4 man team event with 3 net score recorded on Par 5’s, 2 net scores recorded on par 4’s, and 1 net score recorded on par 3’s.

Tim Steele will be collecting your 100 peso’s this week. Thank you Tim.

Normal rules apply: Lift-clean-place in fairway only, no bumping ball in rough, raking sand is permitted for foot prints and machine grooves.

Thank you all for keeping the course in good shape by filling in divots and repairing ball marks on the greens.

Sunday couples golf

Hi everyone,

This week’s game will be teams of 4, using 3 best ball net on par 5, 2 best ball net on par 3 and 1 best ball net on par 4.

Game is at 10:30 as usual and cost is 50 pesos per couple.

We still haven’t heard from numerous couples for our closing event on the 25.  Please get back to the organizers as soon as possible.  Thanks.

Pot luck & party

Hola golfers

Diane and I have been busy working on our pot luck for March 25th.

5 pm social at Playa Royale.

Dinner approximately 6:15 pm.

We investigated a few options but due to diet concerns and preference, we have decided to continue as we have done in the past.

Please email myself and Diane with the names and number of people attending.
Diane will need to submit a list to the guards at Playa Royale.

Include which food category you plan to bring.

Appetizers….. if you sign up in this category please arrive by 5 pm

Salads/vegetables

Meat or main dish

Desserts

Bring your choice of beverages.

We will provide ice, plates, napkins and plastic utensils.

We are renting tables and chairs. If our funding comes up a bit short we may collect a small donation that evening.

We are working on a speaker so we might have music after dinner.

It has been brought to our attention there is a rather entertaining magician available that would circulate around the tables a do magic tricks. It would cost approximately
150 pesos per couple (based on 20 couples). If this is something you want to see please let us know when you sign the food list.

The food list will also be circulated at couples golf the next two Sundays.

You must still let Francine know if you are playing golf on March 25th as always.

Mens Mixer 03-14-2018

ElTigre Golfers,

A beautiful Saturday in Nuevo. The game for this week will be what I call the Tee Box Mixer. 4 man teams will hit from the Red’s on Hole #1, from the Gold’s on Hole #2, from the Whites on Hole #3, and from the Blues on Hole #4. The process continues again by hitting from the red’s on hole #5, and so on. So like “The Waltz”, you will have to be aware of where you tee off from. The 2 best net scores will be recorded per team per hole. This game is not required to be posted in your handicaps.

To make it simple: Golfers will use their ElTigre Handicap from the White Tees as posted in the My Handicap on the eltigreleagues.com website. Please look up your white handicap before playing. I will adjust the teams as much as possible to make them fairly equal. Closest to the pin and duece pot are still in play.

Bruce Gardner will be collecting your 100 peso’s this week. Thank you Bruce.

Rules as always: Lift-clean-place in fairway only, rake the trap before if needed, and after, for courtesy to the players following you.

Sunday couples league

Hola golfistas,

This week’s game will be a best ball net per hole for each couple, using a minimum of 6 scores per player.  Tee time is at 10:30 and cost is 50 pesos per couple.

Please don’t forget to register for the closing  fiesta on March 25th.
