Womens League - 2. page

Ladies League Friday, February 6th

This week we will be playing a 4 person Military March ( 1-2-1-2)

Everyone plays their own ball, you will choose 1 best net score for the odd holes, and 2 best net scores for the even holes.

We will use gimme’s to speed up the pace of play, you MUST measure before you pick up the ball. If you are putting for a birdie you must putt it into the hole – no gimme’s.

We are using a Net Double Bogie Max. Par + the number of pops you get + 2 strokes

This will give you a net double bogie. If you need help with this please ask for help from your foursome.

See you all Friday

Ladies League Friday, January 30th

This week we will be playing a 2 Best Ball Net Stableford format.

Net Bogies = 1 point, Net Par = 2 points, Net Birdie 3 points, Net Eagle = 4 points
Find your 2 best Stableford scores from your team and this is your score for the hole.

Example: 2 Net Birdies = 4 points, 1 Net Par and 1 Net Birdie = 5 points

For those of you who have not played this format not to worry, it’s very simple.

Friday January 23rd

This week you will be playing your own ball and will be paired with a blind partner.

Golf Genius worked perfectly last week. We will continue to use both a scorecard, gross over net, and for the screen just put in your gross.

Don’t forget you must putt the ball into the cup for a gross birdie. No gimme’s.

Friday, January 26th

This Friday we will be playing the Red, White and Blue 4 person team game where each team will need to count one best ball net score fir all the red pin holes,  two best ball net scores for all the white pin holes, and three best ball net scores for all the blue pin holes. Please provide both gross and net scores for all players for your team along with team summary scores for the front 9, the back 9 and the overall 18-hole score. Also, please enter your scores in the Golf Genius software for yourself and your golf partner on the screen for each hole. In addition to keeping your scores on-line, Golf Genius will allow you to view the live leaderboard online anytime during the round to see how well your team is doing compared to the rest of the field.

It is highly recommended that all players arrive no later than 8:30 AM in order to complete their practice warm up, have a short lesson from Hector, and be ready to tee off by 8:50 AM.

Remember to circle any player in your group that had a natural birdie.

Lastly, please remember to rake out any bunkers you may have entered and repair all divots.

Have fun out there.

Fridays Ladies League

Happy New Year everyone. I have finally made it back to warm and sunny Mexico. This weeks game uses 3 different formats, please read through the below so you understand each segment.

4 Person Game – Cha Cha Cha

1 best ball net on holes 1-6, scramble on holes 7-12, alternate shot on holes 13-18.

For the Best Ball Net segment, 3 person teams will use Mia.

For the Scramble segment, One tee shot must be used for each player. You may move your ball within 1 club length of the original ball placement, no closer to the hole. This is the ONLY time you are permitted to move your ball, ball movement in the other segments will cost you a stroke. You must putt the ball into the hole on scrambles, no gimmes   In case of a 3 person team, one person will play 2 balls for an entire hole. Example, player one plays 2 balls on hole 1, player 2 plays 2 balls on hole 2, player 3 plays 2 balls on hole 3. You must stay in this same rotation through the 12th hole so choose wisely how you want to set up the rotation.

For the alternate shot segment, assign each player a designated spot in the rotation. For example players A, B, C and D. Each player will rotate hitting the tee shot, player A tees off on hole 13, player B tees off on hole 14, etc. If player B teed off, player C will hit the 2nd shot, player D will hit the 3rd shot, player A hits the 4th shot, and continue all the way into the hole. Continue this rotation for holes 13-18  If you only have 3 players you will only have players A, B and C, no Pepe for this segment.

We are using the electronic scoring system so all you have to do is enter your gross score. The system will factor in your handicap to come up with the score needed per hole. Last week we had issues with the handicaps so continue to fill out the pink scorecards.

Gimme’s will be used to speed up the pace of play EXCEPT FOR THE SCRAMBLE – YOU MUST PUTT IN TO COMPLETE THE HOLE. If you are putting for a birdie you must putt the ball.
