Addendum to Tomorrow’s Men’s Mixer – Celebrating the Life of Larry Klaus

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

I am very sad to report that our dear friend and fellow golfer, Larry Klaus passed yesterday. I would like to thank all of the members who had volunteered to give blood and who have provided their support and prayers to Larry and his family during this very difficult time.

After our normal post-golf activities tomorrow afternoon, we will have a special extended session (2:00 pm – 4:00 pm) that will be dedicated to “Celebrating the Life” of our friend Larry. Steve and I have spoken with Larry’s son Daniel and Steve has made arrangements with the restaurant to provide light appetizers and they will also be offering happy hour drinks during that time. As we celebrate Larry’s life tomorrow with Larry’s son Daniel and Larry’s wife Kathy, there will be an opportunity for anyone to speak of their departed friend, it they choose to do so.

Men’s Mixer – Wednesday, March 26th, 2025

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a four-person “stableford” team game. All teams will need to include the scores of three players for each hole. Points will be awarded as follows: net bogey – 1 point, net par – 2 points, net birdie – 3 points, net eagle – 5 points and net double eagle – 7 points. Please record both gross and net scores for all players on your team and provide team summary totals for the front 9, the back 9 and the total 18-hole score.

Also, make sure that you circle any player on your team that had a gross birdie (“2”) on any of the Par 3 holes. Lastly, make sure that you repair any of your divots and also rake out any bunker that you may have entered.

Larry Klaus Blood Drive Update

To all,
Larry had surgery yesterday and the doctors were able to successfully remove a tumorous section of his intestine.  Larry is now recovering from his surgery, and he is still in urgent need of additional blood. I just received the following message from Daniel (Larry’s son) concerning what people can do to help to help Larry….
We need O negative blood tomorrow donated at la Joya Marina blood bank in the name of Larry Ralph Klaus.
Attached are some additional details of requirements. As early in the day as possible (beginning Monday at 9:00 AM) would be of great help.
No one over 65 years. Fasting no less than 4 hours, no more than 8. No tattoos or piercings less than 1 year. No alcohol x 1 days. No recent surgeries, vaccines, illnesses

Urgent Blood Drive Follow Up for Larry Klaus

To all,

We just heard from Larry’s wife Kathy informing us that Larry’s condition has worsened, and he needs surgery ASAP. Larry is currently in the intensive care unit at the Marina La Joya hospital. They will not be able to start surgery until they are able to obtain at least two units of O negative blood from donors. The family is asking anyone that is an O negative donor to please consider donating blood to help Larry at your very earliest convenience. The hospital staff have told Kathy that there are now no age-based restrictions concerning your ability to donate your blood.

Blood Drive Donation For Larry Klaus

Larry has recently experienced further medical complications, and he is currently located in the Intensive Care Unit at the Marina La Joya hospital. The family is asking anyone that is an O negative donor to please consider donating blood to help Larry with his recovery. There are no age-based restrictions concerning your ability to donate your blood.
