Golf & Christmas Party-Friday, December 15, 2023

This weeks’ game is a 4-LADY TEAM SCRAMBLE with ONE ONLY Gross Best Ball Score per Hole per team.  Please provide a team summary gross score for the front 9 & back 9 & a team summary score for all 18-holes.

The cost this week is $250 pesos & correct change is greatly appreciated.  A Rules Sheet will be provided on the day explaining rules & handicap for this game.  There will be no weekly golf tip this week.

PLEASE NOTE:  WE HAVE 48 GOLFERS THIS WEEK AND UPON ARRIVAL PLEASE PAY YOUR FEES IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO FINDING YOUR CART AND GETTING READY FOR THE GAME.  AS WELL, WE HAVE A SHOTGUN START THIS WEEK OF 8:50 A.M., SO PLEASE ARRIVE EARLIER THAN YOUR NORMAL ARRIVAL TIME.

CHRISTMAS PARTY INFORMATION

The party will follow IMMEDIATELY after the golf game & hosted by Cherille O’Connor at her home,  Her address is:  Privada Paseo de los Garzas 43F, Nuevo Vallarta. Cherille’s home is located just outside of the Jaguar Gate of El Tigre on the left side of the street as you head toward the Tuesday Market here in Nuevo, and before you cross over the bridge.

CAR POOLING:  For those ladies who own their vehicle, we hope that you will assist those who do not with a ride to the venue.

Those of you that have confirmed your attendance in the computer system and those that we’ve had to take a manual confirmation because the system is capped at 40.  Should you fail to show up, your payment of $250 pesos will still need to be paid as we have had to secure the caterer prior to Friday.

Men’s Mixer – December 13th, 2023

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a two-person Nassau team game.  All teams will need to record only one best ball score on all holes.  Please provide gross and net scores for all players on your team and also provide team summary scores for the front nine, the back nine and the total 18-hole score. In addition to normal payouts being made for best overall 18-hole team scores, payouts will also be made for the best team front nine and best back nine scores. Also, please circle all gross deuces (2’s) on your scorecard and remember to repair all divots and rake out any bunkers.

We are off to a great start with our Christmas Holiday fund raising collection to for the benefit of the El Tigre golf staff. To date we have collected over $20,000 pesos.  All donations are greatly appreciated!

Per previous discussions, please note that will we be starting our weekly Wednesday Men’s League golf events promptly at 8:50 AM, so please plan on getting to the golf course early enough to allow yourself sufficient time to complete your practice/warm up by that time.

We are currently finalizing plans for our first annual Men’s League Memorial golf event that will be held on January 17th. This will be a very special event that you will not want to miss. Once we have finalized all of our Memorial event related activities we will send out a post to everyone.

2024 Gringo Classic

The Gringo 2024 is fast approaching and registration is now open.

As mentioned before, the dates are Feb 27/28.

As it has been for the last few years we will be doing a shot gun start at 9:00 am on the 27th and tee times on the 28th.

A burger and beer will be provided after round 1 and then an optional Horse race will be at 3 pm on the 27th.

I’m happy to announce that this year’s captains will be Michel St. Laurent and Ross McDonald.

Registration will be open til Feb 15 at which time the captains will then do a draft and create the teams as equally as possible.

Again as mentioned there will be 2 divisions a white tee division and a gold tee division for those who qualify under the gold tee mens club rules. All matches will be within the same division.

The cost for this year’s event which will include the burger and beer on the first day along with some exciting tee gifts is 1500 pesos for members Guests or non members are 5500 pesos which also covers the 2 rounds of golf.

Please pay these fees when registering at the golf shop.

Also please go on “My Calendar” on leagues website, select “Leagues” at the page top and “Save leagues in my calendar” at the bottom. Then go back to “My Calendar” tab , select both days and click on “Save month” to sign in.

Gems Tournament – March 15, 2024

Please be advised that MARCH 15, 2024 has been selected for the annual GEMS TOURNAMENT.  The tournament has been capped at 60 players.  If you are currently registered for the regular Ladies League day, your name will be deleted from the system for that day only.  Registration, price and any other necessary information will be communicated when it becomes available.
