Ladies League – Friday, February 10, 2023

This Friday we will be playing a 4-LADY TEAM game where all teams will need to use 1 best ball net score for all “RED” pins, 2 best ball net scores for all “WHITE” pins and 3 best ball net scores for all “BLUE” pins. Please provide gross & net scores for all players on your team & also provide team summary scores for the front nine, the back nine & the total 18-hole score. Game is $50 pesos & the Skills are $20 pesos.  Correct change is greatly appreciated.  Please remember to repair all divots & rake out any bunkers.

For those who would like to try & improve their game, Hector will be providing a weekly golf tip at 8:45 a.m. This will be followed by the names of your cart mates & your starting hole number.  Shotgun start @ 9:00 a.m. sharp.

PLEASE NOTE:  We have a high number of players again this week & asking that all players make every effort to arrive early & be prepared to be on your assigned Hole at 8:55 a.m.

If you wish to play, please be sure to UPDATE your calendar and “SAVE” the changes BEFORE Thursday, February 9th @ 3:00 p.m. This is the cut-off period and NO changes will be permitted after this time.  And off course, should you choose not play and have registered in the past for the date specified above, again please CANCEL to update your calendar and “SAVE” the changes before Thursdays’ deadline.  This will greatly assist those of us who organize the weekly games.

REMINDER:  TORNEO DE GEMAS LADIES GOLF TOURNAMENT—If you wish to play and have not already done so, please make sure that you register for this tournament scheduled for Friday, March 17, 2023.  Further details regarding this tournament will be provided once same becomes available.

Men’s Mixer – Wednesday February 8th, 2023

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a four-person team scramble game where all team will be playing from progressive red-gold-white-blue tee boxes. On hole #1, all teams will tee off from the red tees, on hole # 2 all teams will tee off from the gold tees, on hole # 3 all teams will tee off from the white tees, on hole # 4 all teams will tee off from the blue tees, and this same pattern will be repeated for the remaining 14 holes. All team members must use a minimum of 4 drives/tee shots from each team member. Normal scramble rules will apply during the game. We will also have our normal KP contest, however we will not have our normal payout for any deuces (2’s). All four-person teams will only need to record one score for each hole. Each team will also need to keep track of the number of drives/tee shots taken by each player throughout the round. Please provide summary scores for the front nine, the back nine and the total 18-hole score. Lastly, please remember to repair all divots and rake out any bunkers.

Please arrive early and make sure you have updated your February calendar:  Since we now have a high number of players, it is highly recommended that all players arrive no later than 8:30 and be prepared to go out by 8:45 AM.

Gringo Classic Event: Also, if you have not already done so, please make sure that you sign up to play in the Gringo Classic event, that will be played on Tuesday, February 28th and Wednesday, March 1st. If you have not yet paid for your entry fee, please do so as soon as possible. A recent post was sent out by Alan Bayliss that provides all the details concerning this much cherished annual event.

This week we’re playing a version of the waltz in teams of four.

The maximum handicap is 36, tee time is at 10:00 and the cost per couple is 100 pesos.
