Men’s Mixer – Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a four-person team “red-white-blue” pin placement game where all teams will need to use one net best ball score for all red pins, two net best ball scores for all white pins and three net best ball scores for all blue pins. Please provide gross and net scores for all players on your team and also provide team summary scores for the front nine, the back nine and the total 18-hole score. Lastly, please circle all gross deuces (2’s) on your scorecard and remember to repair all divots and rake out any bunkers.

We are now less than two weeks away from the start of the Gringo Classic event, (Tuesday, February 28th and Wednesday, March 1st). If you have not already paid your entry fee, please do so as soon as possible.

Couples golf Sunday February 19th

Hola todos,

This week we play in teams of four, using two best ball nets on each hole, adding the best score net of each couple.

Like always we play at 10:00, the cost for the couple is a 100 p. and the maximum handicap allowed is 36.

Ladies League-Friday, February 17, 2023

This Friday we will play a 2-Lady Team best ball net score using Stableford scoring format. Bogeys = 1 Point. Pars = 2 Points, Birdies = 3 Points, Eagles = 4 Points.  Please record gross and net score for all players on your team and also the net best ball team score for each hole and provide summary scores for the front 9, back 9 and the total 18-hole score.  Game is $50 pesos and Skills are $20 pesos.  Correct change is greatly appreciated.  Please remember to repair all divots and rake out any bunkers.

For those who would like to try & improve their game, Hector will be providing a weekly golf tip at 8:45 a.m. This will be followed by the names of your cart mates & your starting hole number.  Shotgun start @ 9:00 a.m. sharp.

If you wish to play, please be sure to UPDATE your calendar and “SAVE” the changes BEFORE Thursday, February 16th @ 3:00 p.m. This is the cut-off period and NO changes will be permitted after this time.  And off course, should you choose not play and have registered in the past for the date specified above, again please CANCEL to update your calendar and “SAVE” the changes before Thursdays’ deadline.  This will greatly assist those of us who organize the weekly games.

This Wednesday we will be playing a four-person “Stableford” team game where all teams will need to use two net best ball scores for all holes 1-9, and three net best ball scores for holes 10-18. Points are awarded based on the following criteria: 1 point for a net bogey, 2 points for a net par, 3 points for a net birdie and 5 points for a net eagle and 7 points for a net double eagle. Please provide gross and net scores for all players on your team and also provide team summary scores for the front nine, the back nine and the total 18-hole score. Lastly, please circle all gross deuces (2’s) on your scorecard and remember to repair all divots and rake out any bunkers.

Also, if you are playing in the Gringo Classic event, (Tuesday, February 28th and Wednesday, March 1st), and you have not already paid your entry fee, please do so as soon as possible.

Get course handicap from a valid golf index

A new fonction has been added to the El Tigre Leagues website.
You have a guest or you know somebody who has a valid golf index and you want convert this index into a course handicap.
This new feature allows you to convert any valid golf index to a course handicap for the El Tigre course or any other course in the world.
Here is the way to use this new feature.
On the main menu go to ‘Myhandicap’ then choose ‘Handicaps & scores’ tab at the top. You will see this new part with two links

Click on one of the links. You will be redirect to a new page. On this page enter an index in the input text box. Then click on appropriate button to get the course handicap.
