Men’s Mixer – Wednesday, February 20th

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

The game for this Wednesday will be the red-white-blue four person team event. Each team will need to count one net best ball for all red pins, two net best balls for all white pins and three net best balls for all blue pins. Please record gross and net scores for all players on your team and provide team summaries for the front nine, the back nine and the 18 hole total score. Also, circle any gross deuces “2’s”, repair all divots and rake out any bunkers that you may have entered.

The annual Gringo classic event takes place next week. If you have not already done so, I would highly encourage to sign up for this fun and challenging event. Good luck to all golfers!

Games Night

Monday, February 17th –we will play the GOLF CARD GAME  – please bring a deck of cards, as we need 2 decks per table.

As always, please arrive early at the Clubhouse to take advantage of Happy Hour!  Game time frame is 4:00 – 7:00 pm, 20 pesos to buy-in.

CALLING ALL CRIB PLAYERS:  

Monday, February 24th will be an official Crib Tournament, thanks to assistance from Yvan & Carole.  This will be a night of friendly competition, not a ‘learn to play’ evening.  More to come on this but round up your partner, as we will be playing pairs against pairs.

Blood Donation Request

As many of you may already be aware, one of our El Tigre players, Bob Tormey, is battling a serious medical condition that is requiring an immediate series of blood transfusions.   He is currently receiving treatment with a need for a supply of donated blood.  Donations are NOT type or sex specific.  Donors must be no older than 65, however.  

If you are able to participate, the hospital information is below.  They open at 7:00 a.m. each day.  One can have nothing to eat for 10 hours prior and must bring your passport.  You should go to the Emergency Desk and indicate you wish to donate blood in the name of Robert Tormey.

Valentine’s Day – Ladies Day February 14/2020

This week we will be playing the “Pink Lady” as a 4 lady team; each lady will play the pink ball 4 times; and we will score the low net of the Pink Lady and the best low net for each hole. As a special Valentine’s gift – the pink ball will not be used on Hole 6 and Hole 18; but 2 low nets are still needed on these 2 holes.

The skills this week will be KP on Holes 2 and 12, longest putt on Hole 8 and closest drive to the line on Hole 18.

We are having a special, mixed grill Fajita lunch. The game is 50 pesos, skills are 20 and lunch with tip is 180 – for a total of 250 pesos. This week we will ask you to pay for the game, skills and lunch after you check in at the pro shop. We will have a table set up there. PLEASE bring the correct change. Drinks will be 2 for 1 as usual and collected on one bill.

We are hoping to see lots of red and pink – it’s Valentine’s Day after all!
