Men’s Mixer – Wednesday, April 16th, 2025

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a four-person team game, where all teams will be using the same team scoring format used in the weekly “skins” games. For next Wednesday’s competition, all teams will need to follow the 1-2-3 skins game format, where each team will need to record only one best ball net score for holes 1 – 6, two best ball net scores for holes 7 – 12, and three best ball net scores for holes 13 – 18. Please record both gross and net scores for all players on your team and provide team summary totals for the first 6 holes (1 – 6), the second 6 holes (7 – 12), the third 6 holes (13 – 18) and also the total 18-hole score. For team scoring purposes, you only need to record how much your team was over and under for the three games and also for the total 18 holes, (for example; holes 1 – 6 = “-5”, holes 7-12 = “-6”, holes 13 – 18 = “-3”, resulting in a total 18-hole team score of “-14”. The top prize payout will be awarded to the team with the best overall team score and after that we will have normal payouts for each of the three skin games. Please note that there will be no payouts for any skins that are won.

Also, make sure that you circle any player on your team that had a gross birdie (“2”) on any of the Par 3 holes. Lastly, make sure that you repair any of your divots and also rake out any bunker that you may have entered.

Good luck to all golfers!

Markus

El Tigre Members Northern Tour

Attention all El Tigre Members.

Discussions have been in the works for sometime now with Steve and a few others about having something that would bring our membership together in the summer/fall months.

The general idea is to have an opportunity to visit some of the areas where our members come from, alternating yearly between Canada and the USA, and having member/members from the area host the group for some fun, golf, and local site seeing.

We are trying to launch this idea this September in Kelowna BC, and have branded it “El Tigre Members northern tour”.

As you all know we have a very large contingent of members from Kelowna and area and as well Kelowna is known as one of Canadas premier tourist areas boasting mountains, lakes, wineries, as well as a golf mecca with over 40 golf courses within a 100 mile area.

The tentative date for this is slated for September 10-14.

The hopes are to have a Welcoming reception on the 10th, followed by 2-3 days of golf with some sort of game designed to involve individual as well as couples.

Between golf, plans will be made to take advantage of some of the Okanagans site seeing opportunities.

Final plans TBA,

At this point we are looking for participation numbers so we can look into hotel costs, golf costs etc.

Kindly email

alanbayliss@gmail.com by the end of April if you are interested in such a event, at which time we can finalize the details, as well if you have any suggestion please add them to your email.

Looking forward to hearing from as many of you as possible in the coming weeks.

Regards

Alan Bayliss
