Men’s Mixer – Wednesday, December 11th, 2024

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a four-person “red-white-blue” team game. All teams will need to include three best ball net scores for all holes with “blue” pins, two best ball net scores for all holes with “white” pins and only one best ball net score for all holes with “red” pins. For scoring purposes, please record both gross and net scores for all players and provide team score summaries for the front nine, the back nine and the total 18 holes. Also, please circle any gross deuce (2) that any player recorded on any of the Par 3 holes.

Reminder: Please make sure that you repair all of your divots and also rake out from any bunker that you may have entered.

Annual Holiday Fundraising Collection Continues this Week: We will continue a long-standing tradition of taking up a holiday collection in support of our El Tigre golf club employees. This is being undertaken by all of the El Tigre Leagues (Men’s League, Women’s League, Couple’s League and the Skin’s League). All funds collected from the four leagues will be consolidated and each employee will receive an envelope prior to Christmas with a holiday thank you message from the leagues along with a cash award. We will continue taking up collections from our members this upcoming Wednesday. Your financial support is greatly appreciated!

Ladies League Christmas Fun Day-Friday, December 13, 2024

This weeks’ game is a 4-LADY TEAM SCRAMBLE with ONE ONLY Gross Score per Hole per team.  Please provide a team summary gross score for the front 9 and back 9 and team summary score for all 18-holes.  Game is $100 pesos.  Correct change is always appreciated.  A Rules Sheet will be provided on the day explaining rules & handicap for this game.

Our resident Pro, Hector Rodriguez will provide his weekly golf tip at 8:40 a.m. for those interested.  Immediately following this, you will be advised of your starting hole number & any other information deemed necessary.  SHOTGUN START @ 9:00 a.m. sharp & we do not wait for anyone.

PLEASE NOTE:  We have a large number of players currently registered & you must pay your fee immediately upon arrival prior to finding your cart & getting ready for the game.  Given the number of players, please make every effort to arrive earlier than your normal arrival time & be prepared to be on your assigned Hole at 8:55 a.m. or earlier.

If you are currently registered to play for the date in question and circumstances change, wherein you’re unable to, you MUST remove yourself from your “Calendar” BEFORE Thursday December 12th at 8:00 a.m.  This will also free up space for those on the waitlist that want to play.  The weekly cut-off period for the 2024-2025 Ladies League season is always on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. & NO CHANGES are permitted after this time.   This will greatly assist those of us who organize the weekly games.

Ladies League Calendar Opens for January 3, 2025 Registration

Ladies League Calendar OPENS today, Friday DECEMBER 6th at 5:00 p.m. for registration on Friday, JANUARY 3, 2025. The calendar will remain open for this date through to Thursday, JANUARY 2nd @ 8:00 a.m. at which time it will close.  Be sure to register today to secure your spot for the game. All changes are automatically saved. Further details regarding the format and any other necessary information will be published closer to game day.

Couples golf – Sunday December 8th

Hola todos,

We call this week’s format “48 scores”.  It will played in teams of four and after each hole you will decide how many scores you will use (0 to 4).                    Each team will need a total of 48 scores to count after 18 holes.  We’ll see what time will make the best decisions.

Shut gun is at 10:00, but please be ready for  9:40 for informations and holes assignment.

The cost is a 100 pesos per couples and the maximum handicap per player is 36.

Ladies League – Staff Christmas Fund

Each year the Ladies League together with the other leagues at the club  help to raise funds that is used to spread a little Christmas Cheer to all those that work at the El Tigre Golf & Country Club.  This includes staff that work in the Pro Shop, restaurant, grounds keepers and the guys who make sure our golf bags are ready when we arrive.  The Ladies League will continue to raise funds for December 6th, 13th & 20th at which time all proceeds will be merged with the  other leagues and disbursed to all staff members.  If you would like to contribute, Vivian Heistad will be collecting on Fridays on behalf of the Ladies League.  Please give generously.
