Ladies League – Friday, January 3, 2025

This weeks’ game will be 4-LADY TEAMS.   Format being a REVERSE WALTZ – Three (3) Best Balls Net on Hole #1, Two (2) Best Balls Net on Hole #2, One (1) Best Ball Net on Hole #3, then repeat on balance of holes.  Please provide team summary gross score for the front 9, back 9 and team summary score for all 18-holes.  Game is $100 pesos.  Correct change is appreciated.  A Rules Sheet will be provided on the day explaining rules & handicap for this game.

Our resident Pro, Hector Rodriguez will provide his weekly golf tip at 8:40 a.m. for those interested.  Immediately following this, you will be advised of your starting hole number & any other information deemed necessary.  SHOTGUN START @ 9:00 a.m. sharp.

PLEASE NOTE:  We have a large number of players currently registered & you must pay your fee immediately upon arrival prior to finding your cart & getting ready for the game.  Given the number of players, please make every effort to arrive earlier than your normal arrival time & be prepared to be on your assigned Hole at 8:55 a.m. or earlier.

If you are currently registered to play for the date in question and circumstances change, wherein you’re unable to, you MUST remove yourself from your “Calendar” BEFORE Thursday January 2nd at 8:00 a.m.  This will also free up space for those that may be waitlisted and want to play.  The weekly cut-off period for the 2024-2025 Ladies League season is always on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. & NO CHANGES are permitted after this time.   This will greatly assist those of us who organize the weekly games.

Men’s Mixer – Wednesday, January 1st, 2025

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

This Wednesday we will be playing a two-person best ball team game. All teams will need to use only one best ball net score for each hole and record summaries for the front nine, the back nine and the total 18 holes. Please circle any gross deuce (2) on your scorecard for any player that had a natural birdie an any of the par 3 holes.

Reminder: Please make sure that you repair all of your divots and also rake out from any bunker that you may have entered.

Gringo Classic 2025 – Update

First, we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year.

We are assuming that January 2025 will have a  growing interest due to the deadline for registration for the tournament is 1 February 2025.

Men’s Mixer – No Men’s League Golf Next Wednesday, December 25th, 2024

Hola El Tigre Golfers,

I spoke with Don Marshall a few days ago and he informed me that based on the results of a discussion he had with the members last week, it was agreed that we would cancel our normal Men’s League event for next Wednesday, which is also Christmas day. Informally, some of the players indicated that they were planning on playing next Wednesday and you have the option of joining them if you would like to do so.

Don also provided a great update concerning the very successful results achieved in support of our annual holiday fundraising collection efforts in support of the El Tigre golf staff. Many thanks for your very generous contributions.

I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful holiday season.
